Business Development Manager, Dom Kimber spoke to BBC Radio Ulster on the huge wind energy benefits Northern Ireland has to offer. The economics of creating your own energy through wind power is particularly empowering in Northern Ireland.

As we notified customers and clients on our website earlier this year, the electricity produced from 250kw and under wind turbines was increased from two to four ROCs in Northern Ireland. In other words developers can sell certificates for four times their total energy production, making it very attractive investment if a land owner had a good site.

Obelisk Group supplies and installs 225kw and above wind turbines across the whole of Ireland, as well as subsidiary company Wind Measurement International specialising in met masts and wind measurement producing bankable data in order to secure a loan.

Obelisk Energy also has a 9am to 5.30pm Farmers Telephone Hotline where we provide impartial advice on installing a wind turbine. Helpline number is ++44(0)2892671990.
